Lifetime Achievement Awards

The lifetime achievement award will be awarded to five individuals this year. These individuals will be selected by our panel of judges in recognition of their contributions to entertainment concept art. It will be a chance to honor the pioneers of the concept art world and how they paved the way for future generations of artists.

LightBox Community Icon Award

LightBox Expo is proud to work alongside the Concept Art Association in creating the LightBox Community Icon Award. This award recognizes an individual or group who has demonstrated an outstanding contribution to the art community.

Like any first time event, we have made adjustments to our overall vision for this year’s show based on community response and engagement. What that means for this year’s show, is that we will still be awarding Student Character, Student Environment, Independent Character, Independent Environment, and Fan Art excellence, however, this year we will not be awarding Professional Categories, instead, we will be focusing on Lifetime Achievement Awards, and will be showcasing a compilation reel celebrating a sampling of the professional work created for productions and video games released between Jan 2018 and May 2019.

Professional entries that were submitted to this year’s event will be included and celebrated in the compilation reel at the show. Our goal for this year’s show is to be a fun celebration of the history and craft of Concept Art, and we hope that you support us in this decision.
